The Fernco Joint Sealer Company was formally established in 1964 by an individual contractor looking for a time saving and reliable solution to his pipe connection needs. Mr. Zopfi developed a pre-formed tar donut for use on his own jobs in the Detroit area during the late 1940’s. The Flex-Seal acquisition positions Fernco, Inc. as the number one manufacturer and distributor of flexible couplings in the world.
